oh screw it, i'm endorsing. gammage for governor!
March 05, 2006i'll be at this party tuesday night:
DEMOCRATIC UNITY VICTORY CELEBRATION
ELECTION NIGHT at THE TOWER
500 Throckmorton, 76102
MARCH 7th, 7-10PM
hope to see you there!
update: allow me to elaborate. first, i will say that no matter who wins the primary, i will work my butt off for them both online and off. i think chris bell is a smart, well-intentioned gentleman who would make a fine governor. but i just think that bob gammage is the better pick at this time.
i believe that things in austin are so bad that we need someone who can hit the ground running from day one. after hearing gammage speak a few weeks ago, it became abundantly clear to me that bob knows austin better than anyone else in the race. i have absolute confidence that he will have the strength to clean house down there, and i have no doubt that gammage will present voters with a clear choice in november.
bob gammage is a change agent, a fighter, and a reformer who has a well-documented history of doing what's right for our state. texans would be lucky to elect a man like bob gammage, and i urge every democratic voter to visit his website and read more about his positions, then cast their vote for bob gammage in tomorrow's primary.
Comments:
Wow...now you just dealt the death blow to Bell. Is there a good chance they will head to a runoff? Bell and Gammage I mean.

but it's ok.
my endorsement doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.
i have no idea if there will be a runoff, but i sincerely hope not. i think bob gammage is the best man for the job and i hope that democratic primary voters will agree. i think bob has the experience to hit the ground running from day one. i think he is the right kind of man to run against the empty suit, and i think he's the right man at the right time.
i will, however, add that i think chris bell is an admirable genleman. if he wins i will do my best to support him.
